HEY EVERYBODY

In my original post about the second music contest, I named the deadline as April 30th. I’m realizing now that that wasn’t really a fair date. Everyone had a lot more content from my end to work with for inspiration, and that’s entirely on me! I had considered cancelling the contest, but I’ve gotten a few really spectacular entries this time around, and I really don’t want to cancel this second album (or the possibility of a purely Lusus-themed album, either!)

SO.

If anybody is still interested in entering the music contest, the new deadline for entries is JUNE 15TH. “Wow, Sarah!” you exclaim, “that sure is a long time from now!” Yes, it is. But, with college winding down for me now, that’ll give me plenty of time to pump out enough inspirational content to merit a full, spectacular second album (I HOPE).

(If you have sent in or eventually do send in entries that I definitely plan on using on the second album, I might contact you directly and ask you if you’re able to contribute one or more additional songs. You’re free to say no, but if I hear something I like, I’m not going to have any qualms about letting you know it!)

Please contribute, guys! I’m going to rely heavily on fan submissions for future Flashes, so if you think you’re even somewhat competent at making music, I’d love to hear what you’ve got! I get a pleasant surprise almost every time I open a submission email, and it’s honestly the best part of my day!

Ahh I wasn’t going to say anything but this past week has been so busy that now I feel bad about the delay. As far as Guidestuck goes, I’m sorry about the lengthy wait for an update! I’m actually working on a Flash update, but I haven’t had as much time to get it done as I’d hoped I would, and as far as completion goes, it’s nowhere near done.

I hope to have it done by sometime next week, but there’s no real guarantee or set date for completion. I have a lot of schoolwork to get done this weekend and at the beginning of next week, so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to just sit down and work solely on the update.

I’ll keep you guys posted, though.
