Think of Cal as an ingredient that’s glitching the game.
Everything about Cal is an exception to some kind of rule. He was only a sprite/guide in Homestuck to Alternate Future Dave and ceased to exist when AFD went back in time to become Davesprite, whereas the other sprites were “meant to be”. Cal doesn’t type in his eye color, while the other kids do. The game accepts him as a female player, however his class is a male-exclusive one. If something happens with Cal that seems off, that’s just how it’s supposed to be: there’s something severely wrong with him being not only a part of this session, but with him being friends with Jaspers, Bec, and Quinn at all…and even with him being alive.
Also the great thing about codpieces is they’re detachable.
